The origins of Umiaghwa, Abraka trace back to early Urhobo settlements along the Ethiope River basin. To maintain order and continuity, the historic Abraka kingdom was later formally divided, leading to the emergence of Umiaghwa, Abraka as a distinct and autonomous traditional kingdom with its own identity and governance.

This record highlights the succession of kings from the earliest known rulers to the present day. The current king is His Royal Majesty (HRM) Lucky Ochuko Ararile, Awaike 1.
